Dish Home, a well-known Direct to Home(DTH) TV service provider of Nepal has started internet service through Fiber To The Home(FTTH) service inside Kathmandu Valley. The three different areas inside Kathmandu valley where the first phase of services provided are – Bhaisepati, Tinkune-Baneshwor, and Kapan-Bauddha.

DishHome had acquired the Internet Service Provider license from Nepal Telecommunication Authority back in February. Dish Home has expanded its fiber internet in Bhaisepati and Kapan area on their own. And, they have been collaborating with SIM TV (DishHome’s other company) for fiber internet service in the Tinkune-Baneshwor area.

The company plans to expand the service outside Ring-Road at first, then enter locations inside Ring-Road. The company looks forward to completing the expansion outside Ring-Road by the end of 2077 BS.

Dish Home is even considering the satellite internet for areas posing demographic issues for the expansion of fiber internet. However, it has not started the work yet owing to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic which has resulted in satellite internet equipment import issues.
