Nepal’s first and the most preferred online food delivery platform, Foodmandu has now started its services on the most popular tourist destination in Nepal, Pokhara. This is the very first-time Foodmandu has extended its services out of Kathmandu Valley.
On January 7, 2021, the company announced its launch in Pokhara through a Press Meet and informed how the people of Pokhara can now order their favorites through Foodmandu and enjoy their meals at home.
The company’s Head of Brand, Marketing & Sales, Mr. Shyam Ratna Mali announced the expansion of the service to Pokhara and mentioned how the company is ready to provide quality food and service to the customers through an online channel. Currently, there are more than 30 local restaurants associated with Foodmandu in Pokhara, and with time, more restaurants will be onboarded as per Mr. Mali.
The founder of the company, Mr. Manohar Adhikari informed how Foodmandu, being the pioneer online food delivery platform, had plans to launch in Pokhara for a long time and now, the plan has come to action. He added that in the year 2020, the company had aimed to expand its services to various new locations but due to COVID-19, the company faced difficulties and had to focus its efforts on the challenges posed by the pandemic. Foodmandu is positive about delivering in Pokhara and believes that it will be able to provide the same quality service to Pokhreli customers just as it has in Kathmandu for the past 10 years as per Mr. Adhikari. As Pokhara is a tourist destination, he also believes that Foodmandu will be able to deliver the taste of Nepali authentic dishes to the visitors traveling in Nepal.
The Chairman of REBAN Mr. Laxman Baral said that the launch of Foodmandu will help to improve the sales of the restaurants at Pokhara and ease their businesses. He also added that the customers will be able to enjoy the meals at the comfort of their homes and this may lead to competition to provide the best service.
With the launch, Foodmandu has provided 30% off up to Rs. 300 to first-time users of Pokhara till January 31. Similarly, the company plans to provide and expand its services in other locations in the upcoming days.
